One of the prime search on the net now is find people search. Over 30% of the searches that are performed are for persons with which someone has lost a connection.

One of the connection stories hits extremely close to home since it's my Uncle's story. When my Uncle was "young" he and his wife had a child but their relationship did not work out. They ended up splitting up and he did not hear anything from his child until he was eighteen but he still did not feel that he was ready to be in contact with him.

10 years later he felt as if his life was gotten back together enough to contact his child... problem? Yes, he had no idea where his son was or how to contact him. The place where he had last heard of his son and ex companion living was a no go since they had not lived there for quite some time. I talked to him and told him that he could actually use find people search to find his son online. I done a search and there were a couple of the individuals that had the same name. I got the results and one of the sites gave us not only his address but his current phone number!

Some individuals attempt to find folks by searching on Google. Sometimes Google can be helpful but I wouldn't suggest it since the results can be totally made up. If you are going to give Google a swing I say that you should add some additional information to your search. Possibly a birth date or a middle name, that way you will be able to find the correct person.

The whitepages help folks out sometimes but they are particularly not a go since they don't even let you search for cell phone numbers. I have not had any success with finding persons on the internet through whitepages but you can take a peek if you want.
